2007 saw the conference grow nearly 50% in presentations. Attendance was 150 and sold-out.

The 2006 GLSEC was a first-year success. Evaluations were positive, 120 people attended the conference day and 80 people attended tutorials.

The 2006 GLSEC was organized by XP West Michigan and the American Society for Quality, specifically, the Grand Rapids Section and the Software Division of the ASQ. The conference was hosted by the Calvin College Computer Science Department and held at the Prince Conference Center at Calvin College.
