We just recently solidified the keynote talks for the general conference on November 17th. We’re pretty excited about the offerings.
Opening Keynote (Morning) : Dorothy (Dot) Graham Dorothy (Dot) Graham is internationally recognized for her expertise in software testing. Her talk will be titled “Cognitive Illusions in Development and Testing”. The following links have more information about Dorothy Graham and her publications.
This year we have a very unique closing you won’t want to miss. The afternoon keynote will be a Lincoln-Douglas style debate between Dr. Paul Jorgensen and David Crosby. Paul Jorgensen is a professor at GVSU who is also the author of Software Testing: A Craftsman’s Approach (considered one of the top five books on testing by IEEE). Paul Jorgensen also has over 20 years with GTE as the head of a software development division. Dave Crosby is a software engineer at Atomic Object, a company that has proven the effectiveness of agile methods. Paul and Dave have known each other for sometime (Dave was Paul’s student at GVSU). Sometimes they agree, sometimes they disagree. You’ll enjoy the give and take between two professionals who are also good friends.
