Volunteers

GLSEC runs off volunteer labor. Without the contributions of the committee and the support of our sponsors, we wouldn’t have a conference.

The volunteers who are making it happen this year appear immediately below. Immediately after them are volunteers from past conferences. Each year of service is recognized immediately after their names.

DO YOU WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

Are you good at recruiting? Can you spot a good speaker? Do you enjoy marketing? Are you willing to roll your sleeves up and make the day of the conference happen?

If you would like to be part of the team next year, contact us through this website. We can’t accept everyone, so it is often on a first come, first serve basis in addition to the availability of the role you would like to fill.

There are benefits to volunteering. For each year of service, you are granted a 25% discount towards price of the second day (general sessions) in all future conferences except for the meal portion. So after four years, you can attend the second day of the conference and only pay to cover that year’s cost of the meal. This policy goes into effect starting GLSEC 2010 and will apply to all voluntary service since GLSEC started.
